About Us

EquiFest of Kansas: A Legacy of Celebration and Community

Since its debut in February 1998 in Wichita, the Kansas Horse Council has proudly produced EquiFest of Kansas, the state’s premier equine expo. After successful runs in Topeka (2016) and Salina (2020), the event returns to Topeka in 2026, bringing with it nearly three decades of tradition, innovation, and equine excellence.

EquiFest of Kansas is more than an event—it’s the primary fundraiser for the Kansas Horse Council, your trusted voice and advocate for the equine industry across the state.

Each year, approximately 15,000 attendees gather to experience the magic of EquiFest. What makes it so special? The variety. All breeds. All disciplines. All under one roof.

 What to Expect:

  • Competitions & Demonstrations: From Ranch Rodeos to dancing horses, speed events to blacksmithing artistry.

  • Clinics & Workshops: Learn from world-renowned clinicians and industry experts in engaging, hands-on sessions.

  • Entertainment: Enjoy live music, poetry, storytelling, and historical presentations on stage.

  • Shopping: Explore wall-to-wall vendors offering everything from western wear and accessories to trailers, tractors, and home décor.

  • Food & Fun: Savor a wide selection of food trucks and concessions, and let the kids explore the Kids’ Corral with unique toys and activities.

  • Stall Barn Showcase: Meet long-eared minis, gentle giants, and living history exhibits.

Whether you're a seasoned horseman, a curious newcomer, or a passionate advocate, EquiFest of Kansas delivers an unforgettable experience that celebrates the heart and soul of the horse industry!
