Craig Cameron

Craig Cameron grew up a true Texan, first riding horses at age two on his grandfather’s ranch before spending two formative years in Japan, where his gift for communication shone even across language barriers. Back in Houston, he excelled as both an athlete and musician, playing football, and bass guitar alongside Billy Gibbons, later of ZZ Top. Talented in many areas, his deepest passion was always for the outdoors and horses. After studying agriculture in college and becoming a ranked bull rider under the guidance of Jim Shoulders, Cameron managed his family’s ranch in Giddings, Texas, where he discovered his extraordinary ability to connect with horses through patience and trust rather than force. His gentle training methods gained widespread acclaim, leading to demonstrations, seminars across North America and beyond, and publications in horsemanship journals. In 1994, he founded the Double Horn Ranch in Bluff Dale, Texas, where his clinics continue to attract students from around the world, cementing his reputation as a cowboy and master horseman whose artistry blends tradition with a rare gift for understanding horses.
